Over January-July 2006, the juridical and physical persons of Azerbaijan have realized trade operations with 123 foreign countries. For this period, the external trade turnover of the country was $5 billion with 47.9% growth, Trend reports with referenced to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan. The volume of export was reported at $2.9 bln and import - $2.1 bln. The volume of export has increased by 2.2 times and import 0.9%.
45.1% of export-import operations were achieved at the expense of European Union, 23.5 CIS countries and 31.4% - other countries. At the same time, 62.8% out of the gross turnover was realized at the expense of Europe, 34.2% - Asia, 2.4% - America, 0.5% - countries and 0.1% - Ocean.
More than 80% of external trade operations were realized with Italy, Russia, Turkey, Israel, Great Britain, Iran, Germany, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, China, Korea, USA and Rumania.
