During January-June agricultural production harvest in Azerbaijan grew by 4.5%, according to the CIS Intergovernmental Committee, Trend reports referring to Kazinform. This amount grew by 7.2% and 6.9% in Uzbekistan and Belarus, respectively.
During the first half-year 2006, average agricultural production harvest in CIS countries grew by 2.5% over year. The highest growth (21.1%) was recorded in Turkmenistan.
Kazakh agriculture grew harvest amount by 4.1%, Ukrainian by 3.2% over year.
The 4.6 percent decrease of harvest was recorded in Georgia. Tajikistan did not provide any information on agricultural trends.
