The of International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) for Middle Asia and South Caucasus Rajendr Paroda visited Baku, Trend reports with reference to the Scientific-Agrarian Center of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture.
The visit was aimed at holding monitoring of the project to increase the revenue of farmers through effective management of water and land. The project of ICARDA is financed by the Asian Development Bank.
The project will be completed at the end of the year.
Within the framework of his visit at the Institute of Genetic Reserves, Paroda familiarized himself with the activities and measures taken with regards to the genetic bank and he visited Shamakhi where the drop irrigation system is used within the project.
