A meeting between Azerbaijani and Italian businessmen is expected to be held today. The representatives of Italian eight leading companies have arrived to Baku, Deputy Azerbaijan's Economic Development Minister told Trend. Some of them have already had their representative offices in the country.
An Azerbaijani-Italian business forum is expected to be held in Italy in the nearest months. The Azerbaijan Deputy Minister does not rule out the possibility of holding a meeting between the business circles of the two countries till the end of the year.
Notably, the first business-forum between Azerbaijan and Italy was held in Rome in summer, 2005 within the visit of the Azerbaijani president to Italy. A group consisting of 25 representatives of Azerbaijani business circles participated in the work of that forum. Some 150 businessmen participated in the event from the Italian party. Several commercial agreements were signed as results of that business-forum.
