Azerbaijan`s State Statistics Committee has provided the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with all necessary documentation to hold an expert appraisal in order that the country could joint the IMF special standards on data distribution, Trend reports. According to Arif Valiyev, Chairman of the State Committee, the Committee
submitted tables and the statistics data publication calendar to IMF, Trend reports. At present, IMF is studying them, and experts of the Fund are expected to visit Baku in April, 2007.
In order that Azerbaijan can join the IMF special standards, the country should fulfill all the requirements. This methodical data, indicators, and figures must meet the Fund's requirements as close as possible.
The Azerbaijan Finance Minister, National Bank of Azerbaijan, and the State Statistics Committee are the coordinators for this work.
Notably, Azerbaijan joined the IMF data distribution general standards few years ago.
