Azeri Agriculture Ministry Stopped Activities of Several Enterprises Producing Alcohol Drinks

Over the period of January-September, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture issued 22 licenses for the production and import of alcoholic drinks. 10 licenses were presented to the juridical persons involved in the production of the alcoholic drinks, 4 exportation of alcoholic drinks and the remaining 8 licenses were produced to the juridical persons engaging in the production and importation of beer, the Head of the Department for Quality of Reserve Products, Standards and License of the Ministry Ahliman Nasirov told Trend. By present, the Ministry has issued a total of 33 licenses (11 licenses in 2005).

According to him, for the reported period, the activities of 22 enterprises 19 for exportation and 3 for production of alcoholic drinks were stopped.

Stopping the activities of the enterprises caused by non-presentation of any documents regarding the activities of the enterprises and breaking of the rules specified in the license, Nasirov stressed.

According to the additional terms confirmed by the Cabinet of Ministers form issuing special permits for the production, importation and sale of alcoholic drinks and tobacco products, the enterprises may receive license for the production of the food ethyl alcohol if the annual volume of the production is not less than 100,000 deciliters.
