Business Materials 2 November 2006 14:06 (UTC +04:00)

Strong winds forced Azerbaijani dry cargo ship Maestro Niyazi to drop anchor on the Turkish Port of Alan. Maestro Niyazi, loaded with 5,700 tons of grain and carrying a 20-man crew, dropped anchor 500 meters from the coast, Trend reports with reference to the Turkish media. The vessel was moving to the South Cyprian Port of Limasol.

It is said that the Azerbaijan dry cargo ship is presently moored on Turkish coasts due to bad weather conditions. A storm is expected with waves reaching a height of 2.5 meters and strong winds set to continue until 3 November.

The Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company has stated that once weather conditions become stable, Maestro Niyazi will continue its journey.
