Millikart Limited Liability Company is about to hold a presentation of its activity in the beginning of December, since as an independent structure, it launched its activity only on October 2, 2006. According to the Centre, the presentation will coincide with two other events UniBank's migration from Processing Centre Azericard to Millikart, and a pilot issue of a chip card of international payment system MasterCard by AzerDamirYolBank.
The banks which are serviced via Azericard, will launch certification in MasterCard in the beginning of 2007. Therefore, AzerDamirYolBank will become the first bank in the country which will issue a first chip card of this payment system, and that will be implemented via the new processing centre.
The migration of UniBank, which is still a member of international payment system Visa, will be held simultaneously with the certification in MasterCard. The Bank first will issue magnetic cards of this system, and only then chip ones.
As a result of UniBank's migration to Millikart, the number of cards serviced via the Centre will be brought to 30.000, though the preliminary issue of these cards was expected to reach 50.000. According to the Limited Liability Company, this issuing volume will be reached till the end of the first quarter of 2007.
