The adviser of the Austrian Embassy in Russia, the head of the delegation Johann Kawell, stated on 5 December that by February 2007, the questions related to the issue of a visit visa from Azerbaijan to Austria will be resolved, Trend reports.

Mr. Kawell led the delegation which is currently participating in an Azerbaijani-Austrian business forum which is ongoing in Baku.

Mr. Kawell attributed the issue of visas as one of the serious problems for unhindered traveling of Azerbaijani and Austrian companies. Azerbaijani citizens are obliged to travel to Moscow to obtain their visas due to the absence of an Austrian Embassy in Baku, he emphasized.

In accordance with the agreement, the process will be simplified and the German Embassy in Baku will issue visas.

A year ago the French Embassy in Baku was involved in issuing the visas for Austria but has since stopped this service.

The talks are complete. In future the German Embassy will supply services for the issue of Shengene visas, he said.
