A strategy for Azerbaijan, which will be considered for a three-year period (2007-2010), is expected to be approved during the sitting of the Board of the Black Sea Bank for Trade and Development (BSBTD) in February, 2007, Trendreports.

Mikayil Jabbarov, Deputy Azerbaijan Economic Development Minister and BSBTD Director for Azerbaijan, said that the Bank is expected to extend the volume of its operations in Azerbaijan by more than two times. He rejected to call the volume of the financing considered for the project in Azerbaijan, and only said that it will depend on the volume and the number of projects.

Since Azerbaijan launched its cooperation with BSBTD, Azerbaijani banks received $44-45 mln.
