The State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patent of Azerbaijan has increased the fight against the producers of the low-quality products.
In accordance with the article 200.2.2 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, criminal cases have been raised against the physical persons on the fact of producing and selling low-quality products. These physical persons are Tahiri Muhammad Safar and other enterprises such as K.R. LTD, Fayton LLC, etc., Trend reports with reference to the State Agency.
The State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patent of Azerbaijan has been created according to the order of the Azerbaijani President dated 27 December 2001.
The Agency is the central body of the executive power, forming and pursuing the state policy in the sphere of standardization, metrology and certification and defense of the industrial properties. The Agency has regional departments in Nakchivan Autonomous Republic, Ganja, Sumgait, Shaki, Salyan, Lankaran and other regions of the country.
