MINI reveals Convertible Sidewalk

(autoinsidernews) - MINI will introduce a new upmarket trim level for the existing Cooper convertible range, called the Sidewalk, at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in January in Detroit. While Mk2 MINIs are available in the U.K. and soon in the States, the MINI convertible is still based on the Mk1, and will reamin on the Mk1 until at least 2008.

The new Sidewalk model features a host of exclusive and additional options, and is available on the One (not available in the U.S.), Cooper and Cooper S. The Sidewalk is available in four colors, and features Malt Brown English Leather upholstery, 17″ Night Spoke light alloy wheels, bi-colur leather steering wheel and gear knob and special Sidewalk' interior trim, floor mats, badges and door inserts, reports Trend.

Sidewalk models come with many options as part of its standard equipment, including Automatic Stability Control and Traction (ASC+T), multifunction leather steering wheel, mirror caps in body color, chrome line interior, passenger seat height adjustment, sports seats, storage compartment pack, front fog lamps, manual air conditioning, on board computer, interior light pack and white indicators.

The top-of-the-line MINI Cooper S Sidewalk will have a starting base price of ВЈ20,235.
