In January-November, 2006, Azerbaijan all transport carriers carried 22428,3 thousand tons of loads. This figure was 151,81% more versus the corresponding period of the last year, Trendreports.
12589,9 thousand tons out of the total volume of the loads carried out fell at the export, 9838,4 thousand tons at the import. The export operations: the water transport - 6629,3 thousand tons, railway transport - 1300,7 thousand tons, automobile - (459,5 thousand tons, air transport - 3,3 thousand tons, and the pipeline transport - 4190,3 thousand tons. The import operations: the water transport - 259,4 thousand tons of load, railway transport - 5603,9 thousand tons, automobile - 1021,4 thousand tons, air transport- 25 thousand tons, and the pipeline transport - 2888,5 thousand tons.
6007,3 thousand tons were transited via Azerbaijan. These loads were mainly from: Switzerland - 1905,8 thousand tons, Italy -1589,6 thousand tons, Georgia - 1082,7 thousand tons, Tajikistan - 355 thousand tons, Russia - 200,3 thousand tons, Turkmenistan - 166,1 thousand tons, Iran -160,2 thousand tons, Turkey - 170,6 thousand tons, and Cyprus - 112 thousand tons. The total volume of the transit loads carried out via the territory of Azerbaijan reached 82,49% or decreased by 1274,9 thousand tons versus the corresponding period of 2005.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan customs registered 171,591 loads at custom declarations (229,138 with an additional list), with 37,500 (43,343 with an additional list) falling at export, and 13,4091 (185,840 with an additional list) on import.
