Nasimi Agayev, the Second Secretary of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Germany, informed Trend that arrangements for the Azerbaijan-German business-forum to be held in Berlin are underway. He said that the embassy has been in talks with the relevant bodies of Germany and Azerbaijan since 2006.
Mr. Agayev said that in 2007 Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev is expected to visit Germany and the Embassy has been carrying out work for several months for the organization of the bilateral visit of the head of state.
The Azerbaijan Ministry of Economic Development (MED) and the Azerbaijan Foundation for Promoting Export and Import (AZPROMO) have set up the arrangements for the Azerbaijan-German business-forum to be held in Berlin on 15 February 2007.
Samir Nuriyev, the Head of the Department for Entrepreneurship Development, informed Trend that it would come as the first business forum to be held in 2007.
The Azerbaijani-German business-forum was originally scheduled for December 2006 in Stuttgart, was postponed.
Some 25 entrepreneurs are expected to participate in the event on behalf of Azerbaijan.
