Ismat Abbasov, Azerbaijan Agriculture Minister has completed his visit to Germany. Trend reports referring to the Ministry, that the Azerbaijan Minister participated in an international exhibition of foods, agriculture, and gardening - International Green Week Berlin 2007, which started its work on January 19.
The Azerbaijan party signed a joint statement with Germany on improving the system of sanitary and phytosanitary control in Azerbaijan as a part of Azerbaijan joining WTO. The document includes visits of specialists of the agriculture, farmers, economists, economists, and entrepreneurs of the Federative Republic of Germany and Azerbaijan Republic, holding trainings for Azerbaijani specialists, opinion exchange in this sphere.
The Minister took part in the Agriculture Forum вЂ" East-West - Agriculture and Bioenergy, which was organized within the exhibition.
Within the visit, the Azerbaijan delegation held meetings with the Agriculture Ministers of Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, and other countries. The Azerbaijan party discussed issues of expanding cooperation in this sphere with the above-mentioned parties.
