Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Khalilova / The Executive Director of the Association of the Banks of Azerbaijan (ABA), Farhad Aliyev, said in 12 April that the next meeting of the ABA Executive Committee has been scheduled for 13 April.
The meeting is expected to confirm the new staff list due to the plans to involve new specialists in the banking sector, estimate of incomes and outcomes of the Association and its daughter organizations (Azerbaijan Banking Training Center and "Banks and Business" Magazine) for 2007. In addition, the meeting will focus on the proposals on increasing the amount of the membership fee to ABA (present amount is AZN 2.000), issues of renting a new office for the Association. The work on the new Regulation of ABA has completed and therefore, the meeting participants will also discuss it. If the new Regulation is approved, it will be presented to a conference to be confirmed. Presently the activities of the Association are implemented on the base of the old Regulation adopted ten years ago.
Even the key directions of the activities and institutional development of the ABA have been devised within the action program for 2007-2011. "If the Executive Committee confirms them, certain changes will be made to the structure of the Association," Aliyev said. The pack of proposals will be in three directions - reformation, education (raising quality and qualification of the banking employees) and security in the banks.
