Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend / The Head of the State Committee on Management of State Property, Kerem Hasanov, said that income of the State budget of Azerbaijan from privatization has increased by 50% in the first quarter compared to the same period of 2006.
According to him, nearly 40 small State enterprises, as well as 90 plots of land has been privatized over the reported period. The decision has been made to privatize 30 educational, sport and cultural facilities. 23 joint stock companies have been created, an increase of four times in the same period of 2006.
Over the reported period, the amount of overdue debts of the committees decreased by four times.
