Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.S.Babayeva / The Central Engagement Department of the Azerbaijani Labour and Social Protection of Population Ministry has reported that 31 people were provided with jobs as a result of a fair held in Khizi region of Azerbaijan on 23 July. Some 14 enterprises and organizations took part in the fair, which involved 115 vacant positions.
Since the beginning of 2007 the Labour Ministry held labour fairs in 15 regions of Azerbaijan, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR). Some 1,076 people were appointed with jobs. About 125 people were sent for preparatory training and 115 people were appointed to do salaried social work. The total number of companies/participants at the labour fairs totaled 488 which represented 4,773 vacant positions.
The next fair will be held in Siyazan, Lankaran and Gusar regions of Azerbaijan on 10 August.
