Mammadov /According to the Nakhchivan Ore Department, 3,294,000t of table salt was produced in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) between January to 1 August, which is 174,000t more than the same period in 2006, the chief engineer of the Department, Knyaz Taghiyev, reported.
In that period 1,773t of fine salt was produced, 75,000t more than January-August 2006.
Along with production, the sale of salt also increased during the seven months. Some 724,000t of table salt was sold, 21t more than in 2006. The sale of fine salt dramatically increased. With 1,762t already being sold, this is 226t more than in 2006.
