Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Some 11,858,700 tons of goods were transported by Azerbaijan in January to July of 2007, which is 86.88% of the amount of goods from the same period in 2006.
The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee reported that 6,767,700 tons of goods were exported and 5,091 tons imported.
Export by sea comprised 498,200 tons, rail -1,846,800 tons, automobile -432,900 tons, air - 2,500 tons and transport via pipeline - 3,982 tons.
Imports by sea made up 71,500 tons of goods, rail - 3,862,500 tons, automobile - 778,200 tons, air - 13,800 tons and transport via pipeline -336,100 tons.
Some 3,140,600 of goods were transported via Azerbaijan. The goods were mainly dispatched to Sweden - 890,000 tons, Italy - 848,500 tons, Georgia - 664,600 tons, Tajikistan - 250,000 tons, Iran - 123,300 tons, Russia - 91,800 tons, Turkey - 118,000 tons, Turkmenistan - 80,000 tons and Kazakhstan - 32,000 tons.
The total volume of transported goods via Azerbaijan amount to 84.35% of the amount of goods from the same period in 2006 a drop of 582,500 tons.
