Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco) will send financial programming experts to the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) in October, the director of the NBA's Statistics and Research Department, Emin Huseynov reported. The experts will stay for two weeks in Azerbaijan.
At present, SECO renders technical assistance to the NBA in two directions - financial programming and econometric training. The third direction - assistance in improvement of the potential of real sector monitoring group was required.
Technical assistance in the third direction is necessary for the group established within the NBA in 2006 in order to begin functioning.
Today, the NBA receives technical assistance for different projects from the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB), and the Swiss and Polish Central Banks.
