Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Between January and August 28,524,200 tons of oil was produced in Azerbaijan, which is more by 41.4% than in the same period of 2006, according to the Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee.
The most of the produced oil and gas was produced by the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), which produced 22.7mln tons of oil and 3.116bln cu m of gas.
Gas production in Azerbaijan between January and August 2007 comprised 6.549bln cu m, which is more than in the same period of 2006 by 49.1%.
In the aforementioned period Azerbaijan produced 13,638bln KW per hour of energy, which is less then in the same period of 2006 by 10.5%.
