Joint Ventures and Operating Companies Reduce Onshore Gas Production in Azerbaijan in 2007

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev / In 2007, joint ventures and operating companies working in the on-shore fields of Azerbaijan produced more than 144mln cu m of gas, a decrease of 7.5% from last year, according to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR). In December, gas production made up 12.4mln cu m of gas.

The largest volume of gas production resulted from the operating company Salyan Oil which is developing the contractual site Kursang-Garabagli, with a total of 47mln cu m.
