Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 February / Trend / In 2007, the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) transported some 590,000 tons of different cargos, while 565,000 tons were transported in 2006, SOCAR reported.
The amount of the transportations exceeded the forecast by 190,000 tons. Most of the transported cargo was diesel fuel, drinking water, metalware, cement, chemical re-agents, and pipes.
The Caspian Sea Oil Fleet is engaged in sea operations with SOCAR, transportation using large barges of different cargos and passengers, floating cranes, high-speed cutters and passenger motor ships.
