Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 March / Trend / In January and February 2008, the oil and gas producing units of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), operating in the offshore and onshore fields, produced approximately 1.2mln tons of oil, against 1.25mln tons for the same period in 2007, SOCAR said.
The highest volume of oil production was from 28 May OGPU, which was developed in the Gunashli field at 870,000 tons of oil, or 0.9% less than in 2007.
