SOCAR Resumes Gas Supply to   Georgia

Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 April / Trend corr S. Aliyev/ On 23 April, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) resumed supply of its own gas to Georgia, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said on 24 April. SOCAR supplies 1.5mln cu m of gas per day.

In 2007, Azerbaijan was supplying SOCAR's gas to Georgia at a cost of $120 per 1,000 cu m, but this year the price is expected to be raised to $180-$190 per 1,000 cu m.

SOCAR owns gas which it produces from its own fields.
