Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 May / Trend corr A. Badalova/ Export of Azerbaijani oil will rise in 2008 by 16.47% to 0.99mln barrels per day from 2007, US state-run Energy Information Agency (EIA) reported to Trend on 7 May.
Azerbaijan's oil export growth will occur mainly through the large offshore bloc of fields Azeri-Chirag-Gnashli (ACG) operated by BP. About $20bln is required for the project.
According to EIA, in 2009 Azerbaijan's oil supplies will grow by 0.25mln barrels per day to 1.24mln barrels, as compared to 2008.
EIA forecasts the rise in oil supply from Kazakhstan in 2008 to 1.5mln barrels per day, while in 2007 it comprised 1.44mln barrels. In 2009, export of Kazakh oil will hike by 0.13mln barrels per day to 1.63mln barrels.
Turkmenistan's export this year will make up 0.19mln barrels per day, while in 2007 it was 0.18mln. In 2009, Turkmenistan's oil supply will increase to 0.2mln barrels per day.
EIA, the statistical agency of the US Energy Department, was established by the Congress in 1977.
