Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 May / Trend / About 1.5mln tons of oil was transported from the oil terminal Dubandi, which is managed by the company Middle East Petrol, within four months, Abdolbari Goozal, President of the Azersun holding, stated.
The oil and oil products transport via the Dubandi terminal from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan is planned in the volume of 4mln tons, Goozal said.
The capacity of Dubandi is 10mnl tons per year, as well as 340,000 tons reserve park and 5mln tons yearly- after joining the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. The capacity of shipping via railways is 10mln tons per year.
The free capacity of terminal enables to transport and transfer transit oil in the volume of 5mln tons per year through the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
In 2007, 3.46mln tons of oil and oil products were transported via the terminal of Azerbaijan to the Georgian Black Sea ports. The key volume of oil 2.73mln tons fell on Dubandi oil terminal and 730,000 tons of oil was transported through the oil terminal in Baku.
