Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 June / Trend / "Production of light products at the Baku Oil Refinery, named after Heydar Aliyev, has grew by 5.8% and enterprise's annual profit has climbed up by AZN 40mln," Caspian magazine cited Elman Ismayilov, Director of the Refinery.
In order to enhance production of the light products and to improve their quality, Refinery uses fuel oil and operates a reconstructed hydrofining block for catalytic cracking unit G-43- 107 М, which enables the utilization of waste products from secondary processes.
Low amount of sulphur and flavourings in diesel fuel improved its quality to that of European, its cetane rating hiked from 45 to 47. As a result, production of light oil products increased by 5.8% and enterprise's annual profit rose by AZN 40mln.
Currently, the plant is experiencing reconstruction intended to expand source of raw materials for more deep oil processing. The vacuum bloc of ELOU-AVT-2 plant, with 2.4mln tons capacity a year, has been updated which also supplies G-43-107 catalytic cracking complex with the crude.
New centres on lixiviation of airway kerosene and diesel fuel are also expected to be built, with one of them already being launched. The platform for pouring in kerosene and diesel fuel is being updated in Guzdak.
The program on the strategic development of the oil refinery until 2005 has been developed. The program includes carrying out works in ELOU-AVT-6 and 21-10/5 plant of delayed carbonization with the introduction of viscosity breaking process and automatic management system.
A new laboratory is expected to be built to improve the quality of oil, oil products, reagents, catalysts and conducting analysis in line with the world standards.
The reconstruction work in the oil refinery will enable to increase the production of target products and decrease their loss and to improve the quality of the oil products.
