Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 July / Trend corr. S.Aliyev/ This year, SOCAR Energy Georgia of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) intends to supply about 200mln cu m of gas to the Georgian market in accordance with the contracts signed with large consumers, head of SOCAR Georgia Mahir Mammadov said.
SOCAR Energy Georgia purchases gas from SOCAR and sells it to commercial consumers in Georgia.
Azerbaijan will supply about 600mln cu m of gas to Georgia by the end of 2008 - 1.3-1.5mln cu m of gas per day, which is produced in SOCAR fields.
About 1mln cu m of gas is supplied to Georgia from Azerbaijan's gas and condensate Shah Deniz field, which is developed by a consortium of foreign companies.
