Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 August / Trend / In January to July, 2008, the Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev (former Azneftyanajag) produced over 104,700 tons of oil coke, while in January to July 2007 the production totalled 27,700 tons (3.8-fold increase), the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) reported.
Oil coke production totalled 85,000 tons in 2007 and 67,240 tons in 2006. The enterprise did not produce oil coke in 2005. The key consumers of the Azerbaijani oil coke are Russian aluminium plants.
