Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 August / Trend / The fund of production wells of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), excluding joint ventures and operating companies, made up 6,054 by 1 August 2008, which is 111 less than in the same period of 2007 (6,165 on 1 August 2007), SOCAR reported on 7 April.
Some 4,789 (4,895 on 1 August 2007) of the wells are in the current fund, 1,251 (1,255 on 1 August 2007) in inactive fund, and 14 (15 on 1 August 2007) are being develop at present.
