Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 September / Trend / In January to August Azerbaijan got more than 1.4bln cu.m of gas from gas-condensate Shah Deniz field, an increase of 63.5% (548.9mln cu.m) from the same period of 2007, a source said at the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
Azerbaijan plans to produce 2.9bln cu m of gas from Shah Deniz field within 2008.
At present four wells operates on this field. Potential daily output makes up nearly 22mln cu.m of gas.
A total of 8.6bln cu.m of gas will be produced per year at the plateau phase within the framework of the Phase-1 of the Shah Deniz development project.
