Kazakhstan, Astana, 26 September / corr. Trend K.Konirova/ Tengizshevroil (TSO) joint venture announnced accomplishemnt of a huge project - exansion at Tengiz field in Kazakhstan, as a result of which industrial powers of one of the largest fields of the world will increase almost twice, the company reported.
The completion of expansion projects will enable TSO to increase the daily oil production almost to 70,000 tons. First phase of expansion, implemented earlier this year, increased the daily volume of oil production from 40,000 to approximately 50,000 tons.
"This expansion will play the most important role in fulfillment of general tasks on increase of oil production volumes in Kazakhstan, the project presents the newest technologies on oil refinery and gas processing and environment protection," Todd Levy, the general director of TSO, said.
"Kazakhstan's companies played an important role in successful introduction of the most advanced technologies of crude gas pumping and oil refinery by Tengizshevroil in Kazakhstan," he added.
The plants for inverse pumping of crude gas and production of tank oil at the Second Generation Facility (SGF) continue working successfully during several months, whereas completion of balancing and commissioning works and putting into exploitation of the natural gas and sulfur processing plants were implemented at it. Presently all plants of SGF are working and running stabilization and oil desulphurization, also the process of separation and processing of natural gas into the products of gas processing and elementary sulfur is running.
"Kazakhcompanies and service suppliers played very important role in implementation of expansion projects and around 242bln tenge was given by TSO company for services of Kazakhstan suppliers of goods and services, Makset Taubayev, the deputy general director of Tengizshevroil said. We are glad, that we succeeded to strengthen our world level indexes on safety measures and environment protection during implementation of such large scale and complex projects".
Partners of Tengizshevroil are Shevron with the stake of 50%, KazMunaygaz with 20%, ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Ventures with 25% and LUKArco with 5%.
