Oil Refinery in Ceyhan Port Discussed in Astana

Kazakhstan, Astana, 11 November/ Trend , corr. K.Konirova / The cooperation issues in the spheres of energy were discussed by Kazakh State Secretary Kanat Saudabayev and Turkish Ambassador Atilla Gunay in Astana.

The sides touched upon the great potential for development of cooperation.

According to the information released by the press-service, the parties noted that a "special importance is paid to the cooperation in energy, in particular the supply of Kazakh hydrocarbons via the Aktau-Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and construction of a refinery in the port of Ceyhan".

The meeting also noted that the mutual trade volume is planned to increase to $5bln to 2010 "within the framework of agreements reached during the visits of the leaders of Kazakhstan and Turkey in 2007-2008". In particular, in transport and communications spheres.
