Kazakhstan, Astana, Dec. 29/ Trend , K. Konirova/ Specialist of KazMunayGaz National Company (KMG NC) is studying the results of exploration on the Aral Sea, an informed source in NC said to Trend .
"Earlier, two exploration wells were drilled on West Kulandi and East Kulandi deposits on the coast of the Aral Sea. A flow of hydrocarbon has not been revealed yet. At the moment, the achieved results are being studied and analyzed so that to make plans of future steps," a source said.
No work is conducted on the shelf of the Aral Sea at the moment. If any results are achieved as a result of drilling on the Uzbek section of the Aral Sea, the potential and prospects of exploration and production of hydrocarbon in this section will be studied, a source said.
