Investigation commission to investigate gas situation established in Ukraine’s Supreme Rada

Ukraine, Kiev, Jan. 13/ Trend Z. Novsvitski/ The Supreme Rada of Ukraine established a temporary investigation commission (TIC) to investigate situation concerning functioning of Ukraine's gas transport system and to provide consumers with gas in 2008-2009.

Under the Parliamentary decision, the commission will deliver Ukraine's society true information concerning investigation of Ukraine's gas transport system functioning and provide consumers with gas. It will conduct parliamentary control and reaction to urgent resume provision of Ukraine's consumers with "blue fuel" and to restore gas transportation to Europe.

Chairman of the commission will be Inna Bogoslovskaya, people's MP from Party of Regions fraction and her deputy Alexander Gudima, MP from Bloc of Yulia Timoshenko fraction. Thus, 11 MPs joined the TIC.

The commission will publish its preliminary report at a plenary meeting on Feb. 6.
