Nabucco must be implemented urgently: Czech ambassador
The gas crisis between Russia and Ukraine showed that the European Nabucco project must be implemented as soon as possible, Czech Ambassador to Moscow Miroslav Kostelka said at a press-conference, the RIA Novosti reported as saying.
The gas dispute between Russia and Ukraine accelerated discussions on the Nabucco pipeline.
The Nabucco project provides the Central Asia and Caspian gas deliveries to European countries via Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Austria. It will become the continuation of the already built Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum gas pipeline.
"We consider the Nord-stream to be built, but Nabucco 2 is a European project. It needs to be realized as soon as possible," Kostelka said.
