Socar-Georgia was awarded two prestigious nominations from organizations and companies selling oil products in Georgia.
Research by the Union of Importers, Producers and Oil-Products Consumers determined that Socar-Georgia is the largest taxpayer and investor in the country.
Socar-Georgia has transferred 172, 217, 882 lari (1$ is 1.6880 lari) to Georgia's state budget.
Wissol Petroleum Georgia is the second largest taxpayer in Georgia. The company transferred 76,823,158 to the state budget. The third largest taxpayer is Lukoil Georgia at 56,743, 937 lari.
Socar-Georgia was also announced the largest investor in the country at 28,500, 000 lari.
Wissol Petroleum Georgia was named the owner of the largest network of gas stations in Georgia.
The awards ceremony is held annually.
Lukoil and CanArgo Standard Oil were awarded the aforementioned nominations in 2004; Lukoil Georgia in 2005; Wissol Petroleum Georgia in 2006; and Socar Georgia in 2007.
