Azerbaijan, Baku, March 6 / Trend E. Ismayilov /

The main purpose of Azeristiliktejhizat OJSC (deals with heating system in Azerbaijan) is to transfer heating system of Baku from big regional boilers to house ones, Rafiq Aliyev, head of consumer service department of OJSC, said on March 6.

"Transfer of heating system from regional level to house one will allow solving some problems, especially, energy loss at big main line heating systems. Construction of small house boilers will also allow solving water loss problem," Aliyev said.

It much more difficult to repair damaged sections at main line systems than inner house ones, he said. It is planned that after construction of small boilers, they will supply roughly 10-15 residential buildings with energy.

One of the main goals of OJSC is to fully restore heating system of all schools, kindergartens and public health facilities of Baku. These social facilities' heating system will be connected to central heating system.

Presently, OJSC also conducts explorations to connect boilers and houses under SOCAR, the Ministry of Defence, as well as Caspian Sea Steamship to its system. Presently, boilers supply roughly 500 residential buildings under these enterprises with heating, Aliyev said.

Presently, OJSC supplies roughly 2,050 residential buildings with heating.

Azeristiliktejhizat implemented 172 projects including construction of nine new house boilers during 2008. Heating system of 109 social facilities connected to central heating system was fully restored in 2008. Azerigaz JSC renewed gas lines in 26 boilers under new technical terms. Roughly 120 residential buildings were connected to central heating system owing to additional measures.
