Azerbaijani parliament has ratified one more oil contract, which was signed between the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and the British Caspian Energy Group to, explore, develop and rehabilitate the Kurovdag onshore field in Azerbaijan. The field is operated by the Shirvan Oil company.
Foreign partners of the Shirvan Oil company made a proposal to SOCAR to shift the joint venture to PSA type.
The Shirvan Oil has been operating of Sept. 1, 1997. Partners of the joint venture to develop Kurovdag are SOCAR - 50 percent and British Caspian Energy Group - 50 percent. Field's capacity is 5.5 million ton.
