Japanese companies ready for investing in oil industry of Iran: deputy minister

The delegation consisting of Japanese companies will arrive in Iran one of these days to discuss prospective energy cooperation, Iran's deputy oil minister for international affairs Hosein Noghreh-Kar Shirazi said on May 23, ISNA agency reported.  

Japanese-Iran cooperation will cover all spheres of oil Iran's industry, he said.  

"During my last visit to Japan I saw interest of this country in oil industry of Iran. Several companies were not willing to invest in Iran because of some problems in the past. But now they intend to invest funds in oil industry of Iran," Shirazi said.

Commenting refusal of "Impeks" company from participation in development of Azadengan field, deputy minister said that the company suspended its activity in this field by its will and damaged. 

"Presently, we deal with extraction of Azadengan field. We do not expect any company to participate in realization of our plans," Shirazi said.
