The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has studied sea depth for laying a new oil pipe between the Oil Rocks offshore field and Dubendi terminal, a source from SOCAR said.

In addition to transit raw, oil from the Oil Rocks and 28 May offshore fields are delivered to the Dubendi terminal.

The study of the seabed at the site was carried from the Geofizik-2 ship integrated management of geological exploration and topography (part of SOCAR). Sonar photography was carried out in 1,091 kilometers of seabed, underwater topography was studied, bathymetry was linear at 438 kilometers, and 63 points soil was sampled.

The findings were presented to the Neftgazproject Institute.

There are 57 oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan, out of which 18 are offshore and the rest are onshore fields. Over 62,000 people are occupied in SOCAR.
