Azerbaijan, Baku, June 20 / Trend /

The Azerbaijan Gas Scientific-Research and Project Institute develops a feasibility study and drafts as part of the state program on providing the country with gas to speed up the region's socio-economic development in 2009-2013, Director of the institute Eldar Aliyev said in his interview with Respublika newspaper.

The institute has submitted the draft for approval on the state and divisional construction standards ("Standards to allocate facilities for main gas pipelines", "Main gas pipelines. Design standards", "Gas supply. Design standards") instead of the current standards remained since the USSR, Aliyev said. The State Committee on town building and architecture approved the standards in April.

The state construction standards, including "Gas supply. Maintenance work and their admission" and "Main gas pipelines. Maintenance work and their admission" have been developed and coordinated with the relevant control agencies and submitted to the country's Emergency Situations Ministry for approval, Aliyev said.

The Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Ministry has approved the divisional standards "Main pipeline construction. Technology of work and their organization", developed by the institute.
