Gulf Drilling Supply FZE company (UAE) plans to complete drilling of oil well in onshore Surahani field developed by Surahani oil during a month, head of Azerbaijani representation of the drilling company, Ilham Babayev, said on August 20.
"Drilling operations are held by our side. A well is planned to be delivered to a customer in a month," Babayev said.
Babayev said that the company has drilled 1,600 meters of 2,550 project meters. It is the second well which the company will drill at this field.
The company uses Chinese plant ZJ-30 during drilling. Maximal depth of drilling is 3,000 meters.
Babayev said that at present, the company negotiates to operate outside Azerbaijan. "Everything is at the stage of negotiations. Participation in foreign projects will be real after stabilization of prices for oil," Babayev said.
The company spent 15 million manat to but equipment in 2008. Drilling plants, equipment for overhaul of wells and equipment to increase intensive oil recovery in wells were bought.
