The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) predicts an increase in world oil demand in 2010 by 910,000 barrels per day - up to 84.58 million barrels per day.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) predicts an increase in world oil demand in 2010 by 910,000 barrels per day - up to 84.58 million barrels per day.

The September report of the EIA says that the growth in oil demand next year will be mainly observed in countries outside the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), where EIA projects that demand in 2010 will amount to 39.19 million barrels per day.

According to expectations of EIA, oil demand in OECD countries in 2010 will fall to 45.39 million barrels per day.

As a result of 2009, EIA predicts drop in world oil demand by 1.78 million barrels per day - up to 83.67 million barrels per day. Of the total demand this year, 45.47 million barrels per day will fall on OECD countries, 38.21 million barrels a day on countries outside the organization.

EIA forecasts in 2009 a decrease of 1.48 million barrels a day in world oil supplies - up to 83.9 million barrels per day. According to forecasts, in 2010 the world oil supply will increase by 0.75 million barrels - up to 84.65 million barrels per day.

In 2009 OECD countries will supply 20.78 million barrels per day, countries outside the OECD - 63.12 million barrels per day. In 2010, shipments of OECD countries will fall to 20.36 million barrels per day, whereas in countries outside the organization, the volume of shipments will increase to 64.29 million barrels per day.
