Vessels of SOCAR's Caspian Sea Oil Fleet, participating within the contract with Russian oil company LUKOIL in installation of extracting platform in the Yuri Korchagin field, returned to Baku, SOCAR said.
'Azerbaijan', 'Vadim Seidov', 'Aura', 'Om', and 'Lutoga' vessels participated in installation of the platform.
The platform was installed in the depth of 20 meters.
The Yuri Korchagin field is planned to be put into operation in December 2009. The field is situated 180 kilometers from Astrakhan and 240 kilometers from Makhachkala. Depth of the field hits 11-13 meters. Reserves of the field are estimated to the amount of 570 million barrel in oil equivalent. Maximal level of oil and gas condensate hits 2.3 million tons per year and 1.2 billion cubic meters per year.
