Great Britain is ready to provide support for the development of the Southern Gas Corridor, UK Energy Minister, Lord Hunt, said to news conference in Baku on Sept.16.
"We attach great importance to the gas delivery from the Caspian region to Europe," Hunt said.
According to Hunt, Great Britain's role in the further development of the Southern Corridor was discussed in Baku on Sept.16.
The intergovernmental agreement on the Nabucco signed in July is a very important step. The Azerbaijan-Turkey agreement on transit issues should be a next step, Hunt added.
The United Kingdom will use all diplomatic measures to reach the agreement soon, the minister said.
Speaking about the Britain and Azerbaijan relations, Hunt said that a strong and reliable partnership was formed between the countries.
