Capacity of Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline to be doubled

Capacity of the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline will be increased from 10 to 20 million tons per year, the press service Kazakh government said.

Capacity of the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline will be increased from 10 to 20 million tons per year, the press service Kazakh government said.

Kazakhstan and China have made great strides in cooperation, Prime Minister of the Chinese State Council Wen Jiabao said at the meeting with Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov in Beijing on Oct.15.

In particular, the sides have taken concrete decisions and signed an agreement on incensement of capacity of the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline from 10 to 20 million tons per year, as well as on the second stage of the Beineu-Bozoy pipeline, the same source added.  

The establishment of long-term bilateral relations in oil and gas field is evidence of complete political understanding between Kazakhstan and China, Jiabao said.

The meeting also discussed the prospects of implementation of projects in non-primary sector in the areas of finance, as well as the rational use of transboundary rivers.
