Turkmenistan gets large-capacity oil-tankers from Russia

Russian largest shipyard "Red Sormovo" transported oil tanker 'Hazar' for sea port of Turkmenbashi in Nizhny Novgorod on October 28. The port has already got similar vessel of sea-river 'Sumbar'.

Two orders were fulfilled under the contract with the state administration Turkmen maritime routes to build two tankers with capacity of 7,000 tons for transportation of oil and oil products.

The project is financed due to the credit worth $ 31 million allocated by the Islamic Development Bank.

Tankers are equipped with the modern technologies and equipment that complies with norms of ecological safety. They can transport 6 kinds of oil products simultaneously.

Formation of the navy at the expense of modern large ships will expand Turkmen trade routes and contribute to development of mutually beneficial international cooperation.
